The Carthage SURE program seeks applications from students in their first through third year of study at Carthage and welcomes students from all majors.

• The application period typically occurs in the spring semester. Applications for summer 2025 are due Monday, March 24, 2025.
• Each academic division has its own eligibility guidelines, selection process, and deadlines. See details at the links below.
• Interested students should speak to their professors and/or the chair of their departments to learn more about SURE opportunities. Research mentors must be selected prior to submitting an application.
• Students must apply to the division of their faculty mentor. For example, if your faculty mentor is in the Chemistry Department, apply to the SURE in the Natural and Social Sciences program. If your faculty mentor is in the Accounting and Finance Department, apply to SURE in the Professional Studies Division. If your faculty mentor is in the Theatre Department, apply to the SURE in the Arts and Humanities program.
